More about Karen
My youngest years
I was born in Washington, D.C., not too far from where Brian and I live now. My family moved to Michigan and then returned to D.C. when I was in second grade, and my parents have been in the same house ever since. I loved that my cousins lived in D.C. and that we had grandparents, aunts, and uncles here too.
“Karen is smart, loving, and committed to doing what she believes in. Also, sometimes she takes my socks.”
Fast forward to today
I like to read, especially mysteries, and I always have a pile of books next to my bed. I love macaroni and cheese, bananas, and Hershey's Kisses with almonds. I enjoy running, biking, and swimming—especially if I can get a friend to come with me. At work, I like to sing "Happy Birthday" to my friends and co-workers on their birthdays.
As a mother, I would want to teach my child compassion and to see the world from other people's perspectives. I would want to teach my child to laugh, and to know without a doubt how much he or she is loved.
